It's not always easy getting your book noticed. With millions of books for readers to choose from, it's an incredibly daunting task. Yet somehow, lady luck arrived on my doorstep, well in my email, with the heart pounding word "Congratulations!"
Phantom of Execution Rocks was named a Finalist in the American Fiction Awards for Mystery/Suspense: Romantic Suspense. I was so excited I had to shout it to the world. At least my little corner of it.
With the help of Tucson Local Media, our local news source, I was able to do just that.
Does this mean I'll find new readers? I don't know, but I do hope so. Because really, in all honesty I'm not a fan of blasting myself all out there trying to help all you wonderful book lovers to discover my stories. I'd rather it just happen. I find it quite awkward to see my face in the proverbial black and white. I find it it a bit awkward to put myself out there.
In the end, if just one reader stumbles upon my novels and gets lost in the story for a few precious hours, my work is done. That's the reward.
